Tale of the StealingPond

- Stories from The Rivers Mouth -

Wondering around The Rivers Mouth
An OldBook I found
The book of secrets
The book long forgotten

The OldBook you see
Will tell everything you need
Or nothing
If so your wishing
From there you can read what you wanna know
And nothing more
Nothing less

I wanted to know everything
Nevertheless

On one clear day
I made a star tell me my way
Following this path
Wondering through the forest
Suddenly I was surrounded
Everything fine around me
But deep pain inside me
So up I looked
And up I kept staring
The biggest trees I have ever seen
Free from their crowns
The mightiest in the forest
Slowly fading away

And little by little
As well was my path fading away
Missing
Middle of the dying forest
Alone
I kept walking

Eventually a wooden path came to me
Easily I step along the wood
It took me to a little pond
I sat down and rest my feet
Watching the pond seemingly so sweet

This pond
The OldBook told me
They call the StealingPond
In the OldDays
Many moments ago
The StealingPond was the mightiest pond of them all
It stole everything from where it could reach
Children and other beings were easy to steal
But nothing enough for this pond
Stealing all the water from The Rivers Mouth
All their hopes and dreams
All the life around

On one rainy place of time
The beings of The Rivers Mouth
Had had enough of this kind
All together they rose against the StealingPond
With a little help
They cut out this daunting pond
So it could never again
reach to The Rivers Mouth

Helping her little beings
MotherNature raised her lands around the StealingPond
And beings of The Rivers Mouth hide the paths to the ground

Now the StealingPond just stays quiet
In the middle of the forest
Waiting
For someone to come close
Just a little bit closer
So it could steal once again
