The Abandoned Town of The CrownMountain

- Abandoned places -
Finland

The abandoned place in Finland
The one
Everybody is talking about it
Everybody has been there

I wanted there too
I wanted to see The Place
I wanted to photograph it too
I wanted to bee one of them
One of the many others

I parked my bicycle by the gate
Which says 'no entry'
I follow a forest path to the greenness of the summer

Here and there
I saw little fainting signs
Of long gone settlement

From the condition of the buildings
If you can still call them buildings
Maybe ruins would be more truthful
You can see the fact
That everybody knows this place
Everybody has been here
And everybody has left their mark here

I had read from the newspapers about the arsons of the area
But it didn't prepare me to the truth
Most of the place was just simply destroyed
Burned
Collapsed
Or otherwise vandalized

The place looked nothing like the pictures I had seen on the internet
There was nothing left
Where I had seen houses
No windows or walls
Were they supposed to be
In just three years
People had destroyed most of it
Permanently

Of course nature will take back it's own
On it's own natural way
But this was something else

I even understand people's need to mark their own hand
Their present
At the Stone Age it was drawings and hand marks at the rock walls
Now it's tags and spraying's on the building walls
Same same but different

How much is too much?

The City would like to smash these old buildings
In order to build something new
The citizens have put on many addresses
To save the buildings
They say
They are part of the history
That the place should let be

I kinda understood them
The pictures I saw told about beautiful old villas
But have this people been here sens then?
Have they seen the place?

Do they know
That the citizens have already destroyed the place
By themselves
That there is nothing more to save?

This was really interesting visit
But not in a way I was expecting

This abandoned ghost town
Was anything but abandoned
I saw a lot of people while I was there
Some of them picking berries
Some of them photographing like me
Some of them jogging

Maybe there could be something old saved
And something new build beside it
I experienced a peaceful and beautiful place
For outdoor activity's
Widely used by citizens

But the old ruins should be cleaned
Before they collapse
On someones child

I felt like a tourist
Everybody knew why I was there
Seeing a famous sights
From the 'must to do while you are here' list
Only thing missing
Was the tourist guide's voice in my headphones
Telling me about the history

In my memory
I was once again on that creepy Auschwitz tour
With forty other people

Jeti's Birthday Cake!

Jeti had a birthday
Though Jeti didn't know it
I think yetis don't celebrate
At least not this kind of occasions

So it was easy to surprise him
Which was good
Because I like planing surprises
But I'm really bad at keeping my mouth shut
When I'm excited about something

 I tie Jeti's eyes
And lead him to the magical summer island
There I served him this awesome cake
I had designed and baked for him
He said it was the best cake he had tasted so far

Well,
I'm glad you like it!

Vadelma-Pätkis Juustokakku

(gluteiiniton)

Pohja:
200 g gluteiinittomia suklaa keksejä
75 g kookosrasvaa

Täyte:
4 liivatelehteä
300 - 400 g maustamatonta tuorejuustoa
1 - 1 1/2 dl ruokosokeria
3 tl vaniljasokeria
2 rkl sitruunan mehua
2 - 3 dl kuohukermaa (laktoositon)
1 pss Pätkiksiä
2 dl vadelmia
1/2 tl neilikkaa
1 rkl tummaa kaakaojauhetta

Koristelu:
tummaa kaakaojauhetta
1 liivatelehti
vadelmia
tilkka vettä
Pätkiksiä

Pohja:
Sulata kookosrasva ja murenna keksit.
Vuoraa irtopohjavuoka pohjalta leivinpaperilla.

Sekoita sokerit, sula Pätkis-massa, muussatut vadelmat,
kaakaojauhe ja neilikka tuorejuustoon.
Vatkaa kerma vaahdoksi (ei liian kovaksi).
Kuumenna sitruunan mehu ja sekoita kuivaksi puristellut liivatteet joukkoon.
Lisää liivate tuorejuuston sekaan koko ajan sekoittaen.
Sekoita varovasti nostellen kermavaahto tuorejuustoon.
Kaada täyte vuokaan, tasoita pinta ja laita jääkaappiin hyytymään tunneiksi /yön yli.

Koristelu:
Irrota varovasti terävän veitsen avulla vuuan reunat.
Aseta kuvio-muotti kakun päälle.
(Näitä saa valmiina kaupastakin, mutta minä askartelin itse).
Sirottele siivilän avulla tummaa kaakaojauhetta kakun päälle.
Poista kuvio-muotti.

For My Dear Daddy

From my childhood
I remember my daddy being big and warm
Strong and funny
Always helping us build something awesome
Either it was a water slide on our backyard
Or the highest tree house of the neighborhood

Daddy always encourage us to try something crazy
Something exciting
Like sliding down the rapid with a rowing boat
Or squeezing my fingers around an air mattress
Which was fixed behind our motor boat

When I grow older
I growth out of the innocent child's world
Part of the family pain was laid on my shoulders
I started to hate
Hate my life
Hate the world's injustice
Hate my daddy

For many years I felt alone
I was lost in the darkness
From there I found Him

God told me that I'm not alone
He will always be with me
He will always be my Father
And I will always be His daughter
And He is really proud of me

At same time I almost lost my daddy
But he fought his way back to this life
God gave us a second change
For me and my daddy

And with God's love
I learned to love again
Love the world
Love my life
Love my daddy

<3 I love you daddy <3

On this year
I prepared a dinner

The Way of French Fries / Ranskalaistentie

The French way

- Camino full of culinary moments -

Gluten free meal
In the hearth of Europa’s wheat field
Sin gluten por favor?
No
Bread bread bread
Did you already have your piece of bread?

One I found
Precious as gold
Full of protein
Tortilla espanol
Though sometimes you might get
The spanish omelet
Nicely squished
In a boccadillo
Well
Now my feeling is a bit low

Hard times for us all
For dinner no more
Than a bag of Doritos
Chips
Or other fried potatoes

A pilgrim is happy with anything
For God's sake!
Just feed them with something!
Oh, and honey!
Do not forget to collect their money!

Welcome welcome!
First here is some cat food pasta
For you my dear here’s some salada mixta

And simsalabim!
You have a food poisoning!
In the middle of a field running
A barbed wire encircling
There might have been
Some inside pants pooping

Well the main course
Of course!
Chicken or pork?
Either way
It’s tiny, greased and grey

Rest of the plate
Full of french fries
Always french fries
But wait a minute
The menu said ‘with potatoes’
Si! In oil we boil those!

But now I see!
From here comes the name
Of a French way
Wouldn’t guess it anyway
The french fries way!

After all this whining
There is a silver lining
Galician food
Is fresh and good!
Why is it so?
I don’t know
Maybe from the Celtic roots
And the variation of green goods

Buen Provecho!

Three Stages of the Camino / Caminon kolme tasoa

Camino Santiago de Compostela

They say there is three stages on your camino
And one by one you will travel through them all
When or where, no one can tell you
But you will know, when you are there
This is a story of my personal experience
Of those three stages on my camino

First stage – The physical stage

The journey beguines
You will get to know your body
You are finding new things about your body
You will learn your physical limits
You will do things, you didn’t know you are capable of
For me this meant blisters, shin splints, broken knees
And leg pain which kept me awake during the nights

Eventually
I learned to take it easy
But in the hard way

I didn’t want to stop
I wanted to get forward
I could almost see the goal glowing in the horizon
Although there were still over 800 km left and we had just started
I didn’t have time to stop for every wonder I saw on the way
I don’t have time, I’m walking here!

Then God made me stop
I broke my knee in the deep downhill
I didn’t fall
I just didn’t listen to my body
And in the end of the day
I couldn’t step on my foot anymore

The next day I could walk again
Real slowly
We started walking before sunrise
To win some time
But during the morning we saw how people walked past us
Countless bag packs vanishing somewhere ahead of us
Instead of thinking how slowly I was going forward
I started to look what was around me
I stopped for weird plants
I touched and smelled them
There was so much beautiful and amazing things all around
I started to relax
I enjoyed the day a lot

The next morning I was able to walk normally again
But something inside of me had changed
I enjoyed briskly walking
I stopped more often for wonders
I saw more
I felt more

I wasn't willing to slow down by myself
So God made me slow down
I learned my lesson
And He let me heal

I started to respect the deep downhill’s
And came down real carefully
Knowing my own physical limits
But never giving up
Never losing my faith
Knowing
He will always walk beside me

Second stage – The mental stage

Anyone can recognize the first stage
It beguines on the first day of their camino
But how do you know you have reached the second stage?
We were wondering this with the other pilgrims
And I think I can speak for all of us, when I say
Trust me, you will definitely know when things starts to go mental

For me it started when I cried first time on the camino
Or at least this was the moment I realized it
I had reached the second stage of my camino
There started to be a lot of feelings involved
A lot of conflicts and distress
A lot of mixed and negative energy

For me this was real uneasy stage of my camino
Many times I found myself wondering
When would this end?
My own distressed feelings were bothering me
And I knew
For reaching the spiritual stage
I would have to be above all of this
Of this shit I was throwing around in my head
But how the hell it would be possible?

So I gave up
I accept my feelings
Didn't try to make them disappear
Maybe on my camino there would be only two stages

Third stage – The spiritual stage

We had almost reached the end of the physical camino
Few days and we could say we did it
In these days I realized it
It felt like someone would had turned the lights on
I could see everything more clearly
I could feel the change in my body
I found myself feeling happiness and joy

The distress was still in me
But it didn’t control me anymore
I was feeling happy despite the negative feelings inside me
No more was I looking the world through my distress
It couldn’t control my reactions and words anymore
It didn't have the power
I could observe my reactions inside me
I could choose how I wanted to act
I could choose how I wanted to express myself

I felt free, truly free
Free from myself

In a way
The camino felt longer than just 35 days
It felt like a life time

I knew this would be a life changing experience
God wouldn't lead me on this camino for nothing
But still
I learned more than I was expecting
More about myself, other people and world itself
About life itself

And now
Sitting at home and writing this
I have a feeling
That the learning will continue
A long time after this journey has ended
When I have settled down
Back to my normal life

But for me the normal life won’t be the same anymore
For us who have walked the camino
Our life will be so much more than it used to be
More deeper and more colorful
We had spent a life time away
From this 'normal' world

The people who can truly know the meaning of this
Who have been on the same kind of journey
Shared the camino with you
They can truly understand your experience

After all it feels like
You have already known each other
For a life time

Con mucho cariño a
Bear Family

Kirje sateesta

Syksyn ensimmäinen päivä
Sen aisti ilmasta
Luonnon värähtelyn tajuudesta

Ilmassa kirpakkuutta
Maa kylmän kasteen peitossa
Melkein pystyi kuvitella
Syvimmässä varjoissa
 Kuuraa lehtien pinnoilla
Auringon lämpö kasvoilla
Iltapäivän valossa
Niin kuin vain voi
Kesän viimeisenä päivänä olla

Lopulta se saapui
Riemuitsin
Höyryävän marjapuuron äärellä
Katselin
Pisaroita ikkunassa
Orapihlajat hulmusivat maassa
Pisarat pieksivät
Pieninä
Äkäisinä parvina

Voi Äiti Luonto
Näyttele taas voimias
Tee syysmyrsky
Saapuvaks

Työmatkalla hapottaa
Tuuli painaa vastaan
Aikaa kuluu ikuisuus
Mainitsen tästä

Vihainen puuskahdus
”Ihan kamala keli!”

Aamukahvilla näppäilen puhelimeen
”Huomenta rakas! Syysmyrsky tulee!!”

Vastaus saapuu pian
”Joo, täälläkin on ihan paska sää!”

Tulee hölmö olo
Eikö kukaan näe kauneutta?
Mitään ihmeellistä?
Iloa?

Korjaan
En valittanut huonoa keliä
Ei se ollut small talkia
Tarkoitukseni jakaa iloa
Tästä ihmeestämme
Yhteisestä
Suuresta onnen tunteesta

Nostaa katse taivaalle
Viileä vesi kasvoilla
Nostaa kädet ilmaan
Antaa riepottaa vaatteita
Pyöriä sateessa
Vaatteet vedestä raskaana
Iholla lämmin kosteus

Hyppiä lätäköissä
Punaisissa saappaissa
Kipristellä kuivia
Lämpimiä varpaita
Saappaiden suojissa
Nauraa sydämestään
Märkä tukka liimattuna otsaan

Kietoutua kuivaan
Pehmeään
Lämpimään
Mahdotonta tuntea todella
Kuivien vaatteiden tuomaa onnea
Kastumatta ensin kunnolla

Nauttia höyryävää teetä
Takkatulta tarinoita
Kaikkia niitä asioita
Joita et raaskinut jäädä tekemään
Auringon valaistessa elämää
Mittarin rikkoessa hellerajaa

Tänään voi
Äidin luvalla
Nauttia mukavuudesta ja

... kuunnellaan sateen ropinaa
Se vain jatkuu ja jatkuu
Sitä riittää loputtomiin
Enkä mä haluu ulos astuu ...

Jumalan temppeli / The Temple of God

- Mäntyharju -

Usein toistetaan
On Mäntyharjun kirkko
Suurin hirsikirkko
Ainakin tällä pallon puoliskolla
Ylpeästi
Koreillen
Ei Pertunmaalta moista löydy
Ei edes Pyhän Mikaelin kaupungista

Ja onhan se
Komea rakennus
Ihmisiltä paljon ponnisteluja vaatinut
Luulisi Jumalalle kelpaavan

Vaan ei moni tiedä
Johtaa suuren kirkon takaa polku
Metsän siimekseen
Veden äärelle

Täälläkin sijaitsee
Jumalan temppeli
Suurin ja kaunein
Jonka milloinkaan olen nähnyt

Tässä Herran huoneessa
Katto kohoaa taivaisiin saakka
Seinät on koristeltu taitavimman maalarin siveltimellä
Alttari risti on luomakunnan taitavimpien puuseppien työtä
Tämä ei ole ihmisen rakentama temppeli Herralleen
Tämä on Isän rakentama huone lapsilleen

Istuessaan täällä
Voi Isän käden jäljen nähdä kaikkialla
Tuntea Hänen kasvojensa lämmön ihollaan
Rauhaisan kuiskuttelunsa puiden latvoissa
Jakamattoman läsnäolonsa sisimmässään

Jer. 23:11
Syvä luottamus ja rauha valtaa sielun
Tässä hetkessä kaikki on hyvin
Juuri niin kuin täytyy olla

Joh. 14:1
Sisimmästä kumpuaa varmuus
Luottamus itseensä
Omiin kykyihinsä
Usko siihen
Että elämä kyllä kantaa

Joh. 3:16
Täällä
Todellisuuden äärellä
Ylivoimaisten odotusten ulottumattomissa
Voi huokaista helpotuksesta
Löytää armon itseään
Ja inhimillisyyttä kohtaan

Todellisuuden peilin äärellä
Riisuttuna kaikesta turhasta
Paljaana
Totuudellisena itselleen
Haavoittuvana
Voi löytää oman voimansa

Ps. 139:13-14
Ps. 91:13-14
Hetki hetken jälkeen
Elämäämme neulotaan
Valitsemillamme väreillä
Jokainen hetki on pieni ihme
Elämämme suuri värikäs
Ihmeellinen tilkkutäkki
Rakkaudella kokoon kursittu

Joh. 15:12

Jes. 43:1
Ps. 34:5

Sydän avoinna
On helppo uskoa
Meitä suojellaan kaikelta
Mitä ikinä keksimmekään pelätä
Eikä ole sellaista pimeää
Jota Hänen hellä kosketus ei torjuisi
Emme ole yksin

Takaisin kävelee kevyemmin askelin
Kirkon maalla jää taas pohtimaan
Tarvitaanko tätä kaikkea
Ihmisen vaivannäköä
Suuria kivisiä saleja
Hurskaita sanoja
Rukousmattoja
Oikeita ilman suuntia

Ken tietää
Jos se auttaa uskomaan
Ei siitä haittaakaan liene
Minunkin on helpointa uskoa
Äiti luonnon vehreydessä
Tunnen Hänen läsnäolonsa voimakkaimmin
Vaikka juttelenhan minä Isälle
pyöräillessä ja tiskatessakin
Enkä koe saaneeni vähemmän

- Rakkautta -
